Our story
Berkway began in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, as a one-man gardening operation serving homes from Reading to Gerrards Cross. In those early days the work was simple in principle: turn up, work hard, be friendly, and leave each garden looking better than when we arrived.
That approach built trust quickly. Clients stayed with us because they could see the result in front of them and because they knew the service came with a friendly face, honest communication, and a real interest in their outdoor space. Over time, trial and error taught us what truly helps a garden thrive: timing, consistency, attention to detail, and understanding how each space is actually used by the people who live there.
As demand grew, so did the team. What started as one pair of hands became a wider gardening and grounds team with six years of practical experience behind it. Today we still carry the same standards forward. We see gardens as an extension of our clients’ homes, lifestyles, and properties, which means our work should feel thoughtful, reliable, and personal rather than rushed or impersonal.
